Se divide en dos secciones principales:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registros electr\u00f3nicos<\/li>\n<li>Firmas electr\u00f3nicas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Son una extensi\u00f3n natural del uso de los registros tradicionales en papel. Los registros en papel ofrecen seguridad a los datos y pueden presentar firmas manuscritas para indicar que determinados datos son correctos y que se han registrado ciertos eventos. Es posible detectar f\u00e1cilmente cualquier intento de alteraci\u00f3n de los datos o de las firmas.<\/p>\n<p>En t\u00e9rminos sencillos, los requisitos de Registros electr\u00f3nicos se basan en aportar seguridad a los datos, que ofrecen un nivel de confianza similar al de los registros en papel. Las firmas electr\u00f3nicas exigen que tanto los operarios como los supervisors puedan identificarse electr\u00f3nicamente de modo equivalente al de una firma manuscrita. La norma permite tambi\u00e9n el uso de indicadores biom\u00e9tricos, como dispositivos que utilizan huellas digitales o esc\u00e1neres de retina.<\/p>\n<p>El avance de los sistemas electr\u00f3nicos ofrece considerables ventajas para la recuperaci\u00f3n y el almacenamiento de los datos. La FDA ha desarrollado la 21 CFR parte 11 para ilustrar los requisitos necesarios para que los registros y firmas electr\u00f3nicas sean
