Here is a response to a recent article on plastic manufactured product; polyfoam containers and how they actually require less energy than paper (recycled or new) containers of the same design and size.
“The goal of “green” is zero waste, zero greenhouse gas, and zero scorched earth to get the raw materials in the first place. So they ALL FAIL MISERABLY to be genuinely green; mostly through lack of even trying…pathetic.”
I recently polled some of my personal and business acquaintances with this question: “Can you name a product that is manufactured that meets this requirement? Or, how about one that comes close?”
Nobody could confirm that such a thing does or even could exist.
Goals are great but they should be realistic. Let’s figure out to reach them collectively and not radically.
