NIST Calibrations

Calibrations Policy and Procedures.

CALIBRATION SERVICES

The Repair department offers two types of certification. Both types are available upon request.

CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMANCE: certifies that the item meets manufactured specifications, including calibration accuracy.

CERTIFICATE OF CALIBRATION: certifies calibration tractability. The instrument is calibrated in our calibration laboratory to NIST traceable instruments. The certificate includes information about the equipment used, who calibrated the instrument, when it was done, instrument model type, serial number and calibration (in/out) data.

Certificates of Calibration must be requested in advance. Copies of calibration data are kept on file by the Repair department for a minimum of one year.

ANNUAL RECERTIFICATION

It is recommended that many instruments, such as temperature controls and millivolt sources, be checked annually for calibration accuracy. Conditions of use may warrant more frequent calibration checks.

Eurotherm Repairs offers Recertification's that are tailored to the customer. We offer 6 and 12-month recertification's as standard or we can custom tailor a recertification schedule that fits your needs.

Having an instrument Certified automatically gives the customer the option of having the instrument Recertified. The customer will be notified 1 month prior to the certified instrument expiration date.

RECERTIFICATION (CONT.)

When an instrument is sent in for Recertification the following is done as standard:

1) A complete instrument testing, calibration, and cleaning.

2) All required factory updates are performed.

3) A Certificate of Calibration consisting of both in and out calibration data.

4) Notification 1 month prior to the instruments certification expiring.

5) Special prices apply on recertification's.

NOTE: Instruments sent in for Recertification should be in good working order. If repairs are required a repair rate may apply.
