The Eclipse Series is a family of Din rail
mountable standalone AC power transducers. They are ideal for situations in
which the characteristics of single and three phase AC power signals must be
measured and retransmitted as isolated DC signals, such as in electrical
heating applications. The DC output can be used to drive meters, recorders,
digital controllers, alarms, computer inputs and process control systems. All
units in the series mount directly on a Din D rail and offer a
simple fit and install procedure. Units are auxiliary powered, some are
self-powered.
Current
Transducer The single and three phase current transducer converts an
AC current signal into an isolated standard DC signal. Up to 10A direct or 1A
or 5A CT inputs are accepted. Average sensing units may be used for sine waves
of less than 1% distortion. RMS units measure true RMS, even for phase angle
chopped or distorted signals. Self and auxiliary powered units are
available. |

Voltage
Transducers Single and three phase AC voltage inputs up to 500Vac
may be converted into an isolated standard DC signal. Average sensing for sine
waves and true RMS sensing for use with sine waves or distorted waveforms are
available for single phase applications. Three phase RMS (3W and 4W) units are
also available. All units are auxiliary powered.
Power
Transducers The Watt and Var transducers provide an isolated DC
output proportional to the true power in watts (VIcosØ) or reactive
power in vars (VI sinØ). They may be used in single and three phase 3W
or 4W systems with balanced or unbalanced loads. Avail-able in one, two or
three element configurations, units are auxiliary powered. All transducers have
a ratio of calibrated power to actual power. This ratio is the product of the
CT and VT ratios being used, requiring a sizing calculation to be performed
when specifying the product for an application, (see page 142). |
