K1N Customizable OEM Controller

The K1N offers a truly unique and flexible control solution for a compact heating, cooling or alarming process that requires an embedded product with a fixed setpoint.   This control approach can be ideal for laboratory, food service, packaging and drying equipment products.  Levels of customization include firmware and CPU design.

The K1N, as an embedded controller, offers an OEM a highly accurate PID control solution.

An integral timer function is available in the K1N that provides timed control of a heating or cooling cycle. An audible alarm option is available to indicate the end of the timer cycle. During a timed heating or cooling cycle the display indicates time remaining. Configurable timer options include, guaranteed soak, ramp rate control and temperature hold or reset at end of timer cycle.

The K1N offers a 2-point calibration system that automatically compensates for differences between the indicated and true system temperature caused by thermal gradients between heating and cooling sources and cabinet insulation. The built in calibration procedure calculates true temperature values over the operating range of the equipment from 2 reference calibration points. Designed for use by manufacturing and service personnel this feature follows an easy to use automated step-by-step sequence.

Direct connection between the K1N and a PC is possible using the CPI adaptor. The CPI allows easy connection between the built in configuration port and the PC RS232 port (COM1/COM2). Eurotherm's iTools Engineering Studio simplifies configuration by providing an intelligent method for complete instrument set-up via PC. The iTools Engineering Studio software also provides the facility to save and copy complete instrument configurations.
