The new EAxx-A series actuators with integrated microprocessor based electronics retain the reliable housing, motor and gear train of the traditional EA series. They are ideal for use with our VB-7000 or VB-9000 series of valve bodies and many other commercially available rotary shaft valve bodies with crankarms. They are used for proportional control of combustion air dampers, valves and other similar applications. Most factory assembled standard base models and options are NEMA 4 and UL/cUL listed. EA series units converted to EAxx-A series units using field retrofit kits will not be agency listed. The EAxx-A series is fully compatible with the range of valve bodies found in Section 3 of this catalog. The Analog Input Module

The microprocessor based integral control circuit accepts current, voltage and resistance input signals. Calibration is field adjustable. Control overrides allow forcing the actuator to either end of travel on demand. Stroke lengths of 90° or 180° are switch selectable. Other stroke lengths can be set using a simple pushbutton procedure. Direction of travel is also field selectable. Default calibration is 4 to 20mA. Other ranges are switch selectable. A plug-in option board provides a 4 to 20mA position signal and two form C relays that can be set to activate at any position.
