Eurotherm/Barber-Colman, a leading manufacturer of industrial instrumentation for process control and data acquisition, will show Process Guardian, Eurotherm’s flexible software application provides a web based machine diagnostics system viewable from any PC (H 42).  The software is capable of data acquisition, analysis, reporting and machine diagnostics of any communicating plant system.  It is easy to configure, and isolated machines can be accessed by the wireless communications option. This stand-alone software product resides on a PC based HMI or stand-alone PC compatible with most DDE or OPC communicating devices, whether a Eurotherm control system or other brand of communicating device.

The data acquisition functionality allows for up to 50 or more user selectable parameters on a cycle basis.  They include simple “x” reporting with specification alarming; basic Statistical Process Control (“x-bar” and “R”, distribution curves) in tabular and graphical formats; production monitoring and trend displays. 

The data can be exported into Excel for more in-depth analysis and customized reporting.

The new software application is ideal for manufacturing environments where ongoing analysis is critical to proactively manage plant availability and improve efficiency
