Ease of Use and Precise Parison Control with the new Breeze II from Eurotherm

Eurotherm/Barber-Colman, a leading manufacturer of industrial instrumentation for process control and data acquisition, will display the Breeze II, a new parison only controller at Chinaplas 2008 in Shanghai, China.  The Breeze II controller brings parison only wall thickness control capability to the average operator and added productivity and profit to blow molders.

 The Breeze is specifically designed for ease of use and simple installation.  The controller can be retrofitted to a wide variety of blow molding machines to provide consistent wall thickness of blow-molded products for improved product quality, less material consumption and reduced scrap.  The controller can be specified on new OEM Blow Molding machinery or as a retrofit for updating the controls on used or rebuilt blow molding machines.

The Breeze is factory configured for most blow molding applications.  The user needs only to specify the type of machine and the Breeze is automatically factory programmed and appropriately setup.

Once the unit is installed, the Tool/Accumulator is calibrated and the desired parison profile entered.  The 100 point parison profile is displayed graphically on a large color touch screen display.  This enables the user to quickly modify the profile and compare it to the actual process value.  The entered profiles can then be stored internally or on removable USB memory sticks.

Users will also benefit from the security capabilities in the Breeze.  Administrator status allows complete access to the setup information as well as the normal operating screens, while operator status can be selected to limit access to the operating screens.

There is more to the Breeze than easy operation and installation.  It utilizes the same internal cards as the Eurotherm MACO DS total machine controller, allowing users to stock fewer spare parts.  The Breeze also provides users with highly precise parison control, and updates the parison tooling position every 0.1 milliseconds to minimize material usage and to improve part quality.
