TUS Auto Report Generator - Temperature Uniformity Survey reporting package

Automated temperature uniformity survey reporting, part of AMS2750D pyrometry compliance

Temperature Uniformity Survey reports are a mandatory part of AMS2750D pyrometry compliance and the report content and format are well defined in the specification.

With the advent of digital recorders it is possible to take the output from the survey recorder and automate the production of the report. This adds a desirable level of efficiency to the whole process of thermal process equipment accreditation.

This new package, in conjunction with the Eurotherm Review software, automates the production of survey reporting by combining the secure .uhh file data from a Field Test Instrument with the database management of Eurotherm Review. This directly produces reports which comply with the requirements of AMS2750D.

The report is created using two modes:

1. Set up mode

Set up mode will allow the engineering service provider or controlling quality organisation to determine the scope of the temperature uniformity test for an individual furnace or piece of thermal processing plant.

The user is prompted to complete a number of survey specific pages which relate to the thermal processing equipment under test, including the testing criteria for field test instrumentation, sensors and demand setpoints.

Profiles holding key data can be stored for each furnace to reduce repeat data entry for subsequent reports

The setup mode also allows the TUS Auto Report Generator to be customised by 3rd party accreditation service providers, and set up notes can be directly entered in to the report set against a mix of fixed and free format fields.

2. Report generation mode

Report generation mode produces an auditable report by associating criteria entered in the setup data with a defined secure .uhh data file from the Field Test Instrument.

Options of report output allow for printing of summary sheets and charts or actual results in tabular format all in PDF format. Included in the report is furnace overshoot and undershoot information along with operator notes associated with actions during the test, and a sign off sheet with pass/fail indication. The report can be regenerated at anytime without corrupting the core data by re-specifying the test setup criteria and re-running the report.

The report is suitable for use with up to 48 Survey Sensors and up to 7 Survey setpoints – across a single working volume of operation. Appending the report with additional detail for separate zone instrumentation and controller performance can generate multi zone furnace reports.
