server, you can interface any Eurotherm Modbus enabled instrument to communicate to any OPC client software or write your own using Visual Basic. Today, all the leading visualization software programs support OPC as a client. For further information,

"Software Toolbox®" -- Eurotherm Controls EI-BiSynch Protocol ActiveX The EuroBS communication ActiveX control provides serial communications support for
Eurotherm Series 2000, 800 and 900 temperature controllers using the Eurotherm EI-BISYNCH protocol. The control can be quickly added to any Windows application that supports ActiveX controls (Visual Basic, Visual C++, Delphi, etc). The control handles all
of the communication protocol and error checking, allowing you to quickly develop a Human Machine Interface (HMI) by simply setting control properties to read and write temperature control parameters. The control also supports automatic parameter polling,
allowing you to poll as many parameters as you need from any controller on the network. You can still do normal reads and writes, even when polling is enabled giving you maximum flexibility. Support for multiple controllers on an RS485,422 network is
supported. |
